Columbia Visits You

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions travels extensively each fall and spring to introduce Columbia University to prospective students. In addition to the many individual high school visits that take place around the world, admissions officers host public events where you can learn more about Columbia University. Please read further to learn about which programs may be coming to a city near you. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

International admission events: Columbia admissions officers travel with other colleges and universities to a variety of locations worldwide. Admissions representatives at these joint information sessions speak about the Columbia experience, as well as provide information about the admission and financial aid process.


Introductions to Columbia: Columbia admission officers host a public information session in a variety of cities. These presentations cover academics, student life, undergraduate research, study abroad, internships and much more. Alumni will also be on hand to discuss their undergraduate experience and how a Columbia education has impacted their post-collegiate lives.

Exploring Educational Excellence: Columbia admissions officers join representatives from Brown, the University of Chicago, Cornell and Rice in a city near you each fall and spring. Admissions representatives at these joint events speak about the Columbia experience, as well as provide information about the admission and financial aid process.

Master Classes with Professor Michael Massimino: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions cordially invites you and your family to attend a Science and Engineering Master Class with Professor and Astronaut Michael Massimino ’84SEAS. These Master Classes will give you an opportunity to hear from this distinguished Columbia Engineering alumnus and professor in mechanical engineering, and to learn firsthand why some of the world’s most accomplished students with interests in engineering and science choose to study at Columbia.
