Application Advice Session: Regular Decision

Join Columbia Undergraduate Admissions to discuss the Regular Decision application process, including tips for finalizing your application, advice from current Columbia students and answers to frequently asked questions. A Columbia admissions officer will review key information about Regular Decision before answering attendee questions about the application process, and additional members of Undergraduate Admissions will be available to answer questions submitted through the event chat.

This event will take place over a live stream on YouTube. Attendees can submit questions through the chat. Please note that there will not be time to address all questions, and questions unrelated to the Regular Decision application will not be answered. This event is open to all interested students.

Are you interested in Columbia as a first-year student?
First-year candidates are high school students who are interested in studying at Columbia College or Columbia Engineering for their undergraduate degrees. Students interested in the liberal arts with more than one year's break between high school and postsecondary study or students interested in the Dual BA Programs, including with Sciences Po, Trinity College Dublin or JTS, should consult the School of General Studies.

Which non-first-year program are you interested in?

Transfer candidates are currently enrolled undergraduate students with at least 24 credits (or equivalent) who are interested in earning only one undergraduate degree from either Columbia College or Columbia Engineering. High school students in dual-enrollment courses are not eligible for transfer admission. Full eligibility can be found on our Transfer web page.

Combined Plan candidates are currently enrolled undergraduate students who are interested in obtaining two undergraduate degrees: one in the liberal arts from their current institution and one in engineering from Columbia Engineering. Candidates apply in their junior or senior years of undergraduate study.

Visiting Student candidates are currently enrolled undergraduate students who are interested in studying at Columbia College or Columbia Engineering for one or two semesters as part of their undergraduate/bachelor's degree study.
