Group Campus Tour Requests

The Columbia University Visitors Center welcomes student groups from elementary, middle and high schools, as well as community-based organizations (CBOs) and other college access groups. This form can be used by teachers, school counselors and program advisers to request a group tour; requests must be submitted at least a week prior to the preferred date.

Columbia can only accommodate group tour requests from non-profit educational organizations that serve prospective undergraduate students, as well as primary schools. Individual students and families should register directly for a campus tour. Tour agencies, private consultants and other visitors will not be accommodated.

Group campus tours
 provide a general overview of academic and student life at both Columbia College and Columbia Engineering and feature the guide’s personal anecdotes and experiences as a member of the undergraduate community. This primarily outdoor tour is designed for prospective undergraduate students, and it runs approximately one hour long. The Visitors Center can accommodate between 15 and 50 visitors, between both students and visitors, per group.

Elementary and middle school tours provide a general overview of Columbia University and the world of higher education, highlighting college life through the experiences of current undergraduate students. This outdoor-only tour is designed for elementary and middle school students, and it runs approximately one hour long. The Visitors Center can accommodate up to 40 students per group; there must be at least one chaperone in attendance for every 20 students.
