Campus Visit Opportunities

Prior registration is required for all tours. Access to Columbia's Morningside Heights can change day-to-day; Undergraduate Admissions cannot guarantee walk-on availability. 

Tours from mid-September through November are now available for registration. Please note that tours are not offered Monday, November 4 through Tuesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28, as a result of University holidays.

Tours are led by current undergraduate students at Columbia College and Columbia Engineering. We expect that all visitors treat our tour guides with respect and kindness. 

Campus Tours provide a general overview of academic and student life at both Columbia College and Columbia Engineering and feature the guide’s personal anecdotes and experiences as a member of the undergraduate community. Campus Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., as well as select Saturdays at 12:00 p.m.

Engineering Tours provide an overview of academic experiences at Columbia Engineering, including information on the engineering curriculum, research opportunities and engineering-specific spaces on campus. Engineering Tours are offered on Monday, Thursday and Friday at 1:00 p.m.
  • Please note that visitors are granted exclusive access to explore laboratories and engineering spaces with a specially-trained guide as part of the Engineering Tour.
  • Photography is prohibited on the Engineering Tour; closed-toe shoes are required.
  • For the safety of all, visitors are expected to stay close to their guide and follow all instructions carefully inside laboratory spaces.

Please note that this calendar cannot be used to arrange group tours. If you would like to bring a group of prospective students to campus, please request a group tour through our specific group request form.
